...a message from our President!![]() As summer winds down, we feel the excitement and anticipation of a new school year. I hope this letter finds you refreshed, energized and ready to engage students in the most impactful area of education in our state.
Career and Technical Education has provided endless opportunities for students who choose to take advantage of the real-world education and experiences we provide. My own career choice was heavily influenced by CTE as a high school student back in the late 1900’s. I try everyday to “pay it forward” to the students in my classroom, just as my CTE teachers did for me. As this year's South Carolina Association of Career and Technical Educators President, I look forward to getting to know more of you who share my passion for CTE in our great state. I challenge each of you to be an active participant in your division and hope you encourage others in your schools, districts and regions to do the same. Remember: you are not on an island - there are numerous resources and advocates available to help you as you navigate this school year. I am excited to see what great things we can achieve for CTE in South Carolina. Please don’t hesitate to contact me or any member of the SCACTE Board if we can be of assistance. I hope you have a great start to your school year. Kevin Sox, Center for Advanced Technical Studies Ksox@lexrich5.org NEW SCACTE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR![]() We are very pleased to announce that Brenda J.
