The purpose of the Engineering and Industrial Technology division of the South Carolina Association of Career and Technical Education is to provide Career and Technology Educators with the support necessary to be successful Instructors in the 21st century by providing networking opportunities with successful CATE teachers, organizational service, training, and leadership opportunities.
Link to the Scholarship Application is shown above. There will be two $500.00 scholarships awarded. Deadline for the applications is April 1, 2008. Applications were also mailed to every Career Center in the state, so your Director or Guidance counselor should have a copy. Note: Instructors must be members of SCACTE & SCEITEA for the students to be eligible. If you are not currently an SCACTE or SCEITEA member, and you have a worthy student, join the state organization and the division before April 1, and the Application will be accepted. This is Great a reason to join SCEITEA today!
We are requesting nominations for Officers for the 2008/09 school year. Offices for President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer are needed. Many districts award Professional Development and Re-certification Credit for serving as an officer in a professional organization. These will be voted on in our business meeting during the 2008 Education and Business Summit held at the Carolina First Center in Greenville.
