Why Join Your Organization?
...a message from our President!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays fellow Career & Technical Educators --
As the first semester winds down for most of you across our beautiful state, I hope this message finds you well. I hope that you have made progress toward your goals this year. That may have meant increasing the enrollment/retention in your program(s), improving student achievement in those programs, or building capacity for leadership in your school or career center. No matter your challenges or achievements thus far, always remember that there are others across the state that are in the same situation as you. When you are seeking advice, looking to vent, or merely wanting to know how to answer a complicated question from your superintendent or director, it is always great to be a member of an organization like ours. Active SCACTE members are knowledgeable, leaders in their schools and districts, and a source of information and leadership that all can benefit from.
f there are CTE educators in your school who are not members, please encourage them to join. As stated above, the benefits are plenty, and don’t forget the $1 Million Liability Plan!
Please plan to join us next month at the Find Your Inspiration (FYI) Conference in Myrtle Beach. It will be held January 10-12 at the Embassy Suites, Kingston Plantation. The opportunity to meet, mentor, and encourage ALL early career educators is a significant one, and we need your help to make it the most impactful and inspiring conference!
Thank you again to Mrs. Marcelle Boland for her hard work and dedication in compiling all of this quarterly information and keeping us all up to date.
If there is EVER anything that you would like to discuss about CTE or SCACTE, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not hesitate to reach out.
Happy New Year -- I pray that 2020 is your best personal and professional year ever!
Best Regards, Bryan Hearn
