Dear SCACTE Members,
As we stand at the threshold of a new academic year, I am filled with excitement and optimism for what lies ahead. This season marks more than just the return of students and
the rhythm of the school year — it marks a new chapter in our journey as educators, leaders, and advocates for Career and Technical Education (CTE) in South Carolina.
This year, we celebrate a significant milestone: the unification of SCACTE with the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE). This partnership represents more
than a structural change — it is a powerful alignment of vision, values, and purpose.
Together, we are stronger, more connected, and better equipped to elevate CTE across our state and beyond. As a unified state, our members will benefit from expanded access to national resources, advocacy efforts, and a broader network of passionate professionals
who share our commitment to student success and workforce readiness.
With this unification also comes new opportunities for networking, professional growth, collaboration, and innovation. As CTE professionals, one of our greatest strengths lies in
our ability to connect — with one another, with industry partners, and with the communities we serve. This year, I encourage each of you to actively engage in building and strengthening your professional networks. Whether through conferences, workshops,
online platforms, or local events, every connection you make is a step toward greater collaboration, innovation, and impact.
As we embark on this new school year, let us embrace the promise of new beginnings— with renewed energy, shared purpose, and a collective belief in the transformative power of CTE. Whether you are in the classroom, leading a program, or supporting students
behind the scenes, your work matters deeply. You are shaping futures, building communities, and preparing the next generation of skilled professionals.
Thank you for your continued dedication and leadership. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we chart this exciting path forward—together, and more connected than ever before.
With gratitude and enthusiasm,

Anna Snipes
President, South Carolina Association for Career and Technical Education (SCACTE)
